This time last year we were at South Padre Island and they had record cold temperatures. We didn't have water at our rental and lots of people didn't have electricity.

It sounds like they are expecting the cold again this year.

The February freeze last year left more than 12,000 cold-stunned sea turtles in the state of Texas while we were there.

They are more prepared this year with the deployment of hundreds of people to the rescue in case of a severe amount of cold-stunned turtles, again.

They have 14 crews of foot patrollers that have designated areas and boats that will be on the water...
