Lake of the Woods Fundraiser Sets World Record

Willie Ewing of Becker, Minn. set a new world record for driving the furthest distance on a snowmobile in 24 hours on Lake of the Woods, on March 14.

Willie drove a 2022 stock Arctic Cat ThunderCat 202 laps around a 10+ mile track for 24 hours straight for 2,125.04 miles, breaking the existing world record of 1,908 miles.

The previous world record was set using two snowmobiles. Willie Ewing set the new record using only one snowmobile.
