Although the weather this spring might lead you to believe otherwise, summer is indeed coming! Warroad Community Partners (WCP) has a full roster of fun events and activities in store, so mark your calendar so you don't miss out!

The first event of the season falls just before summer kicks off. A Taste of Warroad will feature the menus of local food establishments and other businesses and organizations in Warroad on Friday, May 20 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. This outdoor picnic-style event will take place alongside Lake of the Woods Brewery with live music during the event followed by music by the Get Over It Band. Tickets are available now on the website.

Northborn™ Days is the next event in the lineup on June 10-11. This marquee event is in its second year and commemorates the dedication of Allison Park. On Friday, June 10th, bring the whole family for a free-will offering community picnic, complete with cotton candy! Children will enjoy the Northborn Birthday Party with activity stations across the park, a children's entertainer on the stage, water games, and foot races! Then set up your lawn chair for the Northborn Talent Competition, featuring vocal talent from across our region! The night will end with an outdoor movie showing under the stars!

The fun will continue on June 11th with the Northborn Music Festival! This year there will be four different bands performing on the amphitheater stage along with food trucks, beer gardens, and activities like yoga, cornhole tournaments, and more throughout the day. Advance sale tickets for Saturday's Northborn Music Festival are available now on our website. This two-day event has so many different aspects to look forward to that you can check back here each week for a series of articles laying out all the event details!

The Fourth of July festivities are always something to look forward to in Warroad! On July 1st, WCP will again be offering a Patriotic Variety Show at Allison Park. Following the variety show, stay for a patriotic movie showing. We invite you to take the stage at Allison Park and share your talent with the audience! Please visit our website or email warroadcommunitypartners@gmail.com for more information! On July 3rd, WCP will host a Boat Parade on the Warroad River. Dress up your vessel and join the lineup or view from shore at 7 p.m. that evening!

Later that month, WCP will build on The Woods Annual Fishing Tournament on Saturday, July 16. The Woods on the Water will feature a vendor market, activities, live music, food, and drinks down at The Point in Warroad. More details about this event can be found on our website.

Our final event of the summer coincides with the Yellow Rose Race. Yellow Rose Day begins with the 5K/10K races and the fun will continue with vendor market, activities, food trucks, live music and more throughout the day. The night will end with the final movie showing of the summer on the hill at Allison Park.

As you can see, we have a lot to look forward to this summer and we hope you can join us for all the fun!
