Hibbing- Carol Yvonne Johnson passed away on June 29th at 12:15 a.m. in Hibbing after a long battle with cancer. Carol was born in Roseau on December 29th, 1943 to Anna and Hilding (Alf) Grahn. 

Carol grew up on a farm outside of Roseau. As a kid she was active in 4-H. Her mom was a talented seamstress. She and her sisters all learned to sew. Carol carried that skill through her life. The sisters also all enjoyed a rainy day because their dad did not have to work the farm and they could head to Salol to get an ice cream cone.  After graduating high school Carol went to Augsburg College.
