The great Bill Russell as an octogenarian

On Sunday, a phone call had to be made since an unnamed individual, soon to become very popular if his name ever becomes public, won the $1.28 billion Mega Millions lottery.

The ticket was purchased near Chicago, which is where my very good pal, Les Kvien, a 1984 Roseau High School graduate, presently resides.

The phone call went through at 15:28 hours military time or 3:28 p.m.

Hey, Les, I have one question.

"Yeah, go ahead."

Did you win?

"Did I win what?"

The lottery?

"I don't believe in lotteries," said Mr. Kvien.
