Ward Glen Smith, 87
Warroad- Ward Glen Smith passed away at Sanford Medical Center Sunday, August 7 at 10:30 a.m. at the age of 87, surrounded by his family.
Ward was the oldest of four children born to Glen and Irma Smith in Castlewood, S.D. on September 6, 1934. He lived in Castlewood until the age of 6, when the family moved to Warroad. He graduated from Warroad High School in 1953. He joined the United States Navy and completed boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois. He was stationed in Bremerton, Wash. until 1957.
