Summer is ending

Last week of Freedom! This is the last week our littles get to be littles before the reality of screen time, phones, sleepovers and the fun of summer have to be reigned in.

We then launch into the week before the first day of school happens. That week we fight because their phone is turned in at 9 p.m., and sleeping needs to happen by 10 p.m. The going non-stop has to stop.

So what do we do as a parent this last week of "summer"? I want to be ahead of the curveball and rip the band-aid off at 11:59 p.m. on August 28th. But then, I take a deep breath. How long are they little?
