Roseau- Eldyne Joyce (Anderson) Erickson was born on January 3, 1928 to Elmer and Olga (Paulson) Anderson. She was born and raised in Roseau until her parents moved to Detroit during her freshman year to work in a munitions plant during WWII. She came back to Roseau for her senior year. Before graduating high school in 1946 she was a cheerleader for the 1946 State Hockey Championship team and for the only Ram boy's basketball team to play in a state tournament.
