Badger- Wendy Ann (Hansen) Von Ende was born the youngest of nine children to Curtis and Beatrice Hansen on March 1, 1967 at the Monticello-Big Lake Memorial Hospital in Monticello.

As a young child she lived in Big Lake until they moved to Becker. Growing up she loved seeing her siblings as she was several years younger and they loved seeing her. She enjoyed sneaking the baby farm animals into the house to play with.
