About 8 a.m. on one below-freezing morning, I saw our apartment maintenance man, Toby Larson, scraping thick ice off the car windows in our parking lot.

He is in his eighties and walks with a limp.

That action surely is beyond his required duties. He also tackles many physically demanding jobs. I want people to know how special he is.
