Our nine days of the year when some of us find out who our friends and neighbors really are is history one more time. Nothing seems to bring out the territorial instincts in a human quite like hunting season. Little houses on stilts all over the countryside are a sure sign that the territory is taken. The knowledge that someone may or may not be in that house has almost done completely away with road hunting.
