What does it take to be an outstanding teacher?

It takes everything you can give to make your students feel good about being in your classroom.

And that they are important in their own special ways.

Charissa is a special education teacher for special needs students.

It's her smile and her laugh that reach out to her students and fellow instructors.

She never planned for this field.

It was just something that popped up one day, and she's never looked back.
