Ward Anderson, the pride of Lake Bronson, Minnesota, became a licensed police officer in 1990.

That's how he ended up in Roseau.

The 1986 Lake Bronson High School graduate, turned 55 shortly before he officially retired at the end of this month.

"I went to Northland, and my first job was in Roseau when Curt Hauger was the chief.

Ward became the chief in 1999.

Maybe, he's never shared any of his scrapes when he definitely wasn't a light-heavyweight at 165 pounds.

He's added another 60 pounds to his six-foot plus frame since the mid-1990s.

Ever had to tangle with anyone the size...
