On Kindness

The other day I texted my daughter Londa. Basically my text was short. I texted, “Leaving 7:15 TRF.” I think the “sweet” was missing. (“sweet and short.”) Getting to the point is often the way I text, but probably not who I am.

If I were to tell you the same message it would probably go like this: “I need to go to Thief River Falls on Friday, even though I have gone on Thursday in the past. Things got rushed or backed up (take your pick) so we will probably be leaving at 7:15 Friday morning. I’ll pick you up around then depending if I get the van windshield deiced. Humm...
