On Marriage and other oddities on this planet

On Tuesday, a photo arrived by text from our daughter April.

It's an interesting photo and brought back some old memories.

April also wished us a Happy Anniversary on January 3, an occurrence that happened a lifetime ago.

It was a miserably cold day.

I remember that because I was sober.

Very sober!

Marriage is a sobering occurrence.

One day you're free as a bird and the next day you're saddled with tremendous responsibilities.

But when I looked at the above photo, Autumn was smiling and I wasn't.
