It all came back to me, thanks to a recent article in the publication, Minnesota Reformer, about a bill being proposed in the Minnesota State Legislature.
The headline read: Lawmakers propose free menstrual products in Minnesota schools for grades 4-12
The chief author of the proposed bill is Rep. Sandra Feist, DFL-New Brighton, who explained that providing free menstrual products would reduce absenteeism as some students without products miss school when they are having their periods, according to the Minnesota Reformer.
