Guess who came to visit grandma! If you guessed Cynder, you are correct!

Our vacation is nearing, so I thought Brandon should have a week of a dog free zone aka his apartment.

We went and picked up Cynder on Monday and will keep him for a week. He hasn't been to grandma's for quite awhile. He fit right back in and is doing his usual things. It's like he never left.

He likes sitting behind me when I'm in my patio chair and also laying on my legs while I'm sitting on the couch.

He always wants to share his suppertime with me and he sits all handsome waiting for a spoonful of Blu's soft dog food while I'm mixing up their special meals.

Brandon says I spoil him...I would not do such a thing!

Cyn isn't any more spoiled than Brandon. I wonder who received hamburger hotdish, macaroni and tomatoes, grilled chicken, steak and pork chops!? Also, several bottles of water and a few other items I've collected for him over the past weeks.

I think both are spoiled and Destiny is added into the equation with them because I know she is eating pretty good this week too!

That's what moms/grandmas are for. Especially when you only have one child!

South Carolina

I came across a TikTok that said North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach aren't safe. It went as far as saying South Carolina isn't safe. I needed to further investigate this TikTok since we will be there very soon.

Is North Myrtle Beach Safe?

There are approximately 172 crimes per year reported in the southwest parts of North Myrtle Beach. The east part of the town is the safest with only 16 crimes reported a year.

These statistics shouldn't deter your decision to visit North Myrtle Beach. As long as you avoid certain areas and use some common sense safety practices, you should be just fine!

Is Myrtle Beach safe?

Like a lot of tourist-centric beach towns, Myrtle Beach is safe to visit, but there are some essential things that you have to keep in mind when you go. Myrtle Beach has its fair share of crime and harassment, and there is the threat of natural disasters, specifically hurricanes.

I think it's pretty much the same as vacationing anywhere. Besides I never worry with my Army Vet, he is always aware of his surrounding and wouldn't let anything happen to me/us.

Chicken Ranch Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients

Ranch Chicken

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes

1 package (about 3 tablespoons) dry ranch seasoning

Macaroni and Cheese

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups whole milk, warmed

1 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons dry ranch seasoning

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, freshly grated

1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, freshly grated

2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni, cooked and drained t

4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled

Salt and pepper to taste

Parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

Ranch Chicken

In a large mixing bowl, combine chicken and ranch seasoning. Toss to coat evenly.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken in batches. Cook 1-2 minutes on each side (or until golden brown and internal temperature is 165°F). Remove from heat and tent with aluminum foil to keep warm.

Wipe out the skillet to use for the macaroni and cheese.

Macaroni and Cheese

In the skillet, melt the butter and add the flour. Whisk constantly for 1-2 minutes (or until the mixture turns light brown).

Remove from heat and gradually pour in the warm milk, whisking constantly.

Return the pan to the heat and whisk another 3-5 minutes, or until thickened.

Add the salt, garlic powder, and ranch seasoning. Stir to combine and remove from heat.

Add the cheeses, stirring to melt.

Pour the cooked noodles over the top of the sauce. Stir to combine.

Season with salt and pepper, and top with the chicken, bacon, and chopped parsley.

An 84-year-old man is having a drink at Joe's Bar.

Suddenly a gorgeous girl enters and sits down a few seats away.
