She threw her best pitch at Target Field

On May 5, Roseau DARE Officer Zach Manka had a thrill of a lifetime as his DARE student, Anastyn Loken, stood front and center a half hour before the Twins game at Target Field.

She had a baseball in her right hand and knew exactly what to do.

"My wife Claire and I left Roseau on Saturday and stayed with my wife's grandma, Judy Boelke, in Elk River.

"We had to be at the stadium by 11 on Sunday morning, and the game began at 1:10."

Zach met up with Hennepin County Sheriff deputies who were to lead the parade of close to 1,000 DARE students at the annual event.
