Sara Howell is the mother of a very special 10-year-old

Easton Howell will never set a world record in the pole vault or hit a grand slam in the World Series.

But he's a big hit nonetheless.

Recently, Sara remarked on the challenges and the rewards of raising an autistic son.

"Often a child with special needs is sitting in a crowd watching family or friends competing in activities. Easton has always had a very difficult time with crowds and loud noises. So much so, as a family, we have avoided large events."

But Easton is full of surprises. He's been blossoming.

"Noise bothers him, but he now wears headphones, and he's better."
