He was born in Roseau on May 19, 1953, to Einar and Thyle (Wiegel) Bergren. Gale had one older sister, Lois Yvonne Bergren. Lois was born in Roseau on July 13, 1949. She passed away from cancer, with Gale at her side, at her home in California on 5/30/2018.
