That's a saying that was coined by my good friend, Dale Jaenicke, which is similar to "Don't count your chickens before they hatch."

In other words, skip the bragging.

Or, as I prefer, "Keep a low profile" - which is hard to do in the newspaper business.

The only place I have campaign slogans is in my outhouse. That's to cover up the open cracks in the north wall - especially in the winter.
