From indoors to outdoors

The water slapping against the boat

Birds diving for fish

Species of the lake so active

Fish swimming so gracefully below

Lures descending from each person

Walleyes not suspecting the hook

All goes quiet

The sound of a hookset

Breaks through the silence

Creating nothing but chaos

All the people in the boat excited to see

The monster walleye

The fish not wanting to give in

When the walleye finally gives in

The people in the boat are disappointed

It was only a sauger...
