Tommy Monsrud, 20, didn't have to travel far to find the profession he wants to spend his life doing.

"I was born and raised here and graduated from Roseau High School in 2022."

Some kids dream of being an astronaut, very few aspire to be president of the United States.

That wasn't Deputy Sheriff Monsrud's take on it.

"Every little boy wants to grow up to be a cop, but it was sometime around Covid when I made the decision that I wanted to be in law enforcement in some capacity."
