Phyllis Mae Nelson was born on May 9, 1935 in Sanders Township, Pennington Co. One of seven children of Victor Sr. and Tilda (Brandrud) Nelson, Phyllis attended country school before graduating from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, Class of 1952.
