Piney-Pinecreek Border Airport at Canadian Border To Close Dec. 27

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the rural municipality of Piney, Manitoba, Canada, will permanently close the Piney-Pinecreek Border Airport (48Y) northwest of Roseau on Friday, Dec. 27.

The general aviation airport, located just west of Highway 89 about 20 miles northwest of Roseau, operated under an international agreement between MnDOT and the rural municipality of Piney, Manitoba, Canada, since 1949.
