RHS Choir Rings in the Season

by Verna McVay

The halls of Roseau High School have been filled with happy voices as we draw closer to another Christmas. The loveliest of all have been those coming from the Choir Room. Robb Johnson and his classes have prepared for multiple events, and the result of their hard work has been nothing less than beautiful.

Eclipse, Roseau High School's show choir, treated us to a lovely compilation of holiday music at RiverPlace on December 7th. Mr Johnson himself accompanied them on piano for one of their offerings. The talented teens made RHS and the community proud. It was a wondrous way to welcome the season.

On December 16th, the school gymnasium was filled with family and friends who were treated to a concert titled "A Holly Jolly Christmas!" under the direction of Robb Johnson and accompanied by Juli Smedsmo. Eclipse, Concert, and Varsity choirs raised their voices and brought to life many traditional Christmas carols. Solos were provided by Levi Dieter, Anders Mattson, Julia Dvergsten, Ruby Osweiler, Olivia Hitner, Lauren Paulson and James Baglien.

What a blessing it is for our community to be filled with so many gifted teens, and a team of adults willing to help them sharpen and share their abilities. Special thanks to Robb Johnson for his years of service.
