He stood behind the counter at Quality Printing in Roseau, and there were no ink stains on his fingers.

Those days are long gone.

Donn "Donny" Haugen, a 1987 Roseau High School graduate, remembers the old days in the business working for his late dad, Dennis Haugen, who started the business in 1983.

Working here since high school?

"No, I was in the Air Force for four years," said the former sergeant.

There was no military draft back then, and he had his reasons for joining the Air Force.

"I wasn't ready for college. I was immature."
