International Falls - Marie Sophie Olson died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at her daughter’s home.

Marie was born on December 27, 1917 in Skime, to parents, Fred and Augusta Simonson.

Marie was a farmer’s wife and started the Roseau Childrens Home for Mentally and Physically Challenged Children, which was later named REM Roseau. They sold it and then ran a daycare center for many years.
