Tomatoes are a versatile food and a good source of vitamin C, vitamin A, and lycopene. Vitamin C supports a healthy immune system and speeds wound healing. Vitamin A is important for eye health. Antioxidants are found in many fruits and vegetables and are known to protect our cells from damage. Lycopene is one of the key antioxidants found in tomatoes which helps to protect us against heart disease and several types of cancers.
