The poppy program is one of our most beloved programs of the American Legion Auxiliary because the poppies are made by "Our Veterans." For years the Roseau American Legion Auxiliary Unit #24 has had help preparing for the Annual Poppy Day, from the sixth grade teachers. The Auxiliary Poppy Committee teaches the children what the Poppy symbolizes. One sixth grade class is chosen each year to make the Poppy Posters. Two or three winning poppy posters are chosen from the class and sent to the 9th District American Legion Auxiliary Convention....
