In response to Mr. Elroy Aune of Gatzke

 


To the Editor,

Mr. Elroy Aune of Gatzke. Wrote of concerns that he had about water issues in northwest. And the direction being taken to address problems with these issues.

He stated that he was concerned because he is hearing that there are more impoundments planned for the upper reaches of the Red River Basin.

Impounded water that sits stagnant, growing cattails, sawgrass, reeds and willows. It breeds woodticks and mosquitos, saturates the land around it, smells like sewer, and has no wildlife benefits is useless. I agree whole heartedly!
