Jeff Pelowski, Roseau's mayor since 1998, is just finishing up his ninth term in office.

Mr. Pelowski filed earlier this month for his 10th two-year term and was asked if he will face a challenger.

"It's hard to say. There's still another week to file," he said before commenting on the filing fee.

"It's a whole two bucks," he laughed.

Also joining the long-serving mayor and refiling for office are incumbent Roseau City Councilmembers Don Ross, Jane Evans, and Pat Novacek.

Mr. Ross filed for the two-year term while Mrs. Evans and Mr. Novacek filed for the four-year terms.
