In last week’s issues of the Roseau Times-Region and the Northland Trading Post, Russell Walker had a boxed ad stating that a county commissioner had directly sold commodities to the Roseau County Highway Department. That is not true. In the fall of 2015 the Highway Department came to me for flax straw bales for banking, as they were having difficulty finding any in the area. They wanted an invoice which I did give them, but I did not want to get paid for them and I never signed a county claim for payment. I did receive a check for $60, which I attempted to pay back.
