Most kidney recipients don't name their transplants.
But that's not everyone.
Now meet Riley, the lifesaver for Roxann Lee, 61, of rural Roseau, who credits her two young grandsons with naming her kidney from an anonymous donor.
"I have to tell you an interesting story about that," she said last weekend from Fargo.
"We were staying with our grandsons at the time, and I said, 'Gavin and Carson, what do you think we should name my new kidney?'"
Amazingly, Gavin, 7, knows a girl named Riley while Carson, 5, knows a boy named Riley.
