At the Star of the North Golf Tourney in Grand Rapids, MN, a week ago Wednesday at the Pokegama Golf Course, Gus Vatnsdal shot the round of his life.

"He shot 76 on the first day, and it's one of the first times - if not first time - he's broken 80 outside of Roseau," said his dad, Cory Vatnsdal.

With that impressive 76, Gus qualified for the Championship Flight the next day.

"He was tied for 4th after the first day," said his dad.
