Veteran's Affairs - Great things are happening

September 17, 2016

Hello Roseau County!

Great things are happening from the Roseau County Veteran Service Office and I thought I would fill you in on these opportunities. First the second annual "Meet and Greet" which is a gathering for all Veterans to come and meet others as well as get any questions answered that my pertain to your benefits is scheduled for Oct 1. 2016 at the Roseau City Park. Start time is at 5:30 p.m. with a flag presentation and dinner to follow. There is no cost. Last year being the first year, had a remarkable turn out and I predict the same or better for this year.

There are also upcoming health/benefit fairs at both Polaris Industries and Marvin Window and Doors. The Polaris Health/Benefit fair will be held on Thursday, October 6, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Polaris Communication Room. The Marvin Health & Wellness will be held on October 24th and 25th Monday and Tuesday, respectively.  Their venue will be the Warroad Community Center starting at 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days. Both venues welcome employees and their spouses and are expecting a great turnout this year. Roseau County Veterans Services will be attending these events to answer any questions along with providing information for Veterans and their families pertaining to benefits they may be eligible for, while also promoting health and wellness opportunities for Veterans.
