Undermanned Gridiron Rams lose 47-0

It wasn't pretty and it wasn't much fun last Friday evening in Detroit Lakes, where there was as big a mismatch as if the Golden Gophers were playing the tiny town of Skime.

At game time, Detroit Lakes was ranked 15th in Class 4A, which means that if there are 64 teams in the 8 sections, they're in the top one fourth while the Rams are in the bottom one fourth in Class 3A.

Still, assistant coach Oliver Ullman saw some positives.

"I saw a little fight in kids I hadn't seen before," he said on Sunday, mentioning Jacob LePard and Jonah Huglen.
