Wrestlers defeat Fertile, 33-12

A week ago Thursday evening in the RHS gym, the outcome was never in doubt as the Rams competed against a depleted Fertile-Beltrami team that only fielded seven of the 14 weights.

Chad Hitchen, the head coach who built Crookston into a powerhouse earlier this decade, is in the process of rebuilding the Falcons.

He has some tough lower weights, starting at 106 with Levi Qualley, who pinned Trevor Hasbouck, a first-year Ram wrestler, at the 1:47 mark.

In a close contest at 113, Connor Eidsmoe hung on to defeat Hunter Hitchen, the coach's son and the 106 pound starter, on a 4-3 decision.
