This was no Cinderella team in glass slippers. Far from it. They wore Nike tennis shoes and danced their way to Roseau's first ever Minnesota State Basketball Championship.
It was some dance in Williams Arena (the old Barn) on the campus of the University of Minnesota last weekend.
They were simply the belles of Class 2A basketball showing why they were Minnesota's top-ranked team.
But winning the title was never guaranteed. That's why they play the game, and it's not in the bag until it's in the bag.
