Here's how close it was for Izaak Olson, the Ram senior, who just missed advancing to the Class 2A Minnesota State Golf Tournament as one of five qualifying individuals.

"He was in a 3-hole playoff with a kid from Fergus Falls, and the kid ended up draining a 20-foot putt for a birdie to beat him," said Ram assistant coach Jason Tangen.

Izaak had quite a tournament, according to head coach Mike Lundbohm, who noted that Izaak was their fifth man for most of the year.
