Royals drop doubleheader to Blue Ox

 


On the road for the start of the senior amateur baseball season on Sunday in Bemidji, the Roseau Royals battled a seasoned Blue Ox squad.

In the first game, Bemidji took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the 4th inning and then added a solo run in the 5th inning to shut out the Royals, 4-0.

Jarad Nelson went the distance in taking the loss while striking 6. Connor McNallan struck out 13 for the Blue Ox.

Player/manager Nate Voll saw some bright signs afterwards.
