Royals win Fourth of July hit fest

 


Even before the Warroad Fourth of July fireworks, the Roseau Royals senior amateur baseball team was lighting up the scoreboard in Warroad as they jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning against the Warroad Muskies.

It was a veritable hit parade as the Royals outhit the Warroad Muskies, 17 to 9, in rolling to a 12-5 victory on Independence Day.

The question wasn't who got the hits but who didn't get a hit for the Royals, who scored in 6 of the 9 innings and topped it off with 3 runs in the top of the 9th.
