Golfer Butler Sweeps the Table at Oakcrest

 


On Wednesday evening at Oakcrest Golf Course, Dallas Butler came charging into the winner's circle much like Seattle Slew won horse racing's Triple Crown in 1977.

"This is my 14th year of running Men's League, and I don't ever recall giving out what is called a grand slam," said Mark Wilson, noting that Dallas tied Brad Zoeller and Brian Pelowski for low gross honors (39).

But with his 10-handicap, Mr. Butler, still a minor, won low gross honors (29), earned closest to the pin honors on Hole 10, and sank the longest putt on Hole 18.
