Danny Goos shines on the Back Nine

Sure, golf is a frustrating game, but there are the winners who come charging into the clubhouse at Oakcrest on Wednesday evenings with a little sway in their strides.

On the Back Nine, Danny Goos took low gross honors with a 36.

"He had 7 pars, a birdie, and a double bogie," said Commissioner Mark Wilson, who added that Mr. Goos also won a second sleeve of 3 golf balls by winning low net honors.

"With his 7 handicap, he had a 29," he said.

It's always nice to hit the green from the tee, which Kavan Lovgren did in earning closest to the pin honors on 10.
