In NW Minnesota forest land can be held in many forms; the location of a summer cabin, a place to hunt grouse and exercise the dogs, deer camp, or just an untillable portion of a large agricultural parcel. Regardless of the reason for owning a forested tract, most landowners have a goal in mind for what they would like to take from the forest; it could be game, money, or just peace of mind and family memories. In most cases this experience can be enhanced through some planning and forethought.
