Bob Marvin, the long-serving Warroad mayor who loves cars but can no long drive them, was ready to talk shop last Saturday.

While he likes to surround himself with cars, he gets around mostly in a wheelchair these days.

Mr. Marvin, soon to be 64, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in the late 1990s.

The other thing to know about Mayor Marvin is that his right-hand gal is the former Loralee Rugland, a Roseau High School graduate.

"We've been married 33 years and went together for 10 years before that," she said last Saturday.
