Luke 6: 17-23

Through Jesus Christ, God offers us the anticipation of good things yet to come. Do you know what anticipation is? This may be a 12-foot word for the little people in the audience. The dictionary's most simple definition is: "looking forward to..." Do you ever look forward to something, I mean something good? (Not everything we are invited to look forward to seems good. Like as a child, when I'd been acting up most of the day, my mother'd say: "Just wait until your father gets home!" Believe me! That always inspired anticipation).

There were plenty of happy anticipations too....
