Home

Home is comfortable

A plush chair in the living room

Reading stories by the fire

The windows darkened in the gloom

The moon illuminates my pages

I lean back into the chair

The cushions give way to narrative stages

My mind goes somewhere else without a care

There’re no distractions in my home

A calm shell surrounds me, a serene turtle

I feel no fear to read and roam

Home is comfortable

The ink is sprawling off the pages

The fire fades away, into the night

I’m now somewhere else entirely
