Denise Ganyo has been designing and creating mittens for six years. "I was at The Plaid Walleye in Warroad when they first opened six years ago. They were in need of vendors and I thought, "I could make something!" recalls Denise. "I've always liked to sew. I began making fashionable mittens out of wool sweaters that I would find at thrift stores. I first washed the wool sweaters in hot water, which is called felting.
