Gary Gustafson, Gus as he is better known, served in the US military as an Army member from July 1965 to July 1967. When he got out of the military he was at the rank Sargent E5 and he had received the basic awards of marksmen, good conduct, overseas service, etc. When I was talking with Gus about his experiences and military life, a main idea that kept coming up in our conversation was how the military was an eye-opening experience.
